We had a great time at Parker's party this weekend. I always get nervous before parties: what if people don't have a good time? What if people hate the food? What if our house is too small? Afterwards, I'm always glad we did.
We did a robot themed party. I swear, now that the party's over, I will drop the robot thing. I get latched on to things but now I'm ready to let it go. We used some of the decorations from Parker's bedroom, and I made a few more with my cricut. Other than robot decorations and labeling the food "nuts and bolts" (chex mix) and "wires" (twizzlers), etc. there wasn't anything to make it a robot party. Mainly people just hung out and talked. It was a lot of fun. I have some really great friends, and the whole day just made me feel really blessed.
Speaking of being blessed, my visiting teacher is AMAZING. Crazy amazing. We had a rough morning. Parker had a diaper rash and the Dr. said we should let him run around naked. Um, ok... so we were trying to set up while Parker was doing his thing all over the backyard. (Don't worry... we cleaned up after him... eww.). Ashlee was a saint and helped us with all of that chaos when normal people would have run away screaming. Really, I'm so lucky to have her as a friend.
