Utah trip

We had a lot of fun going to Utah. We spent time with Jon's side of the family and Parker got to meet all of his aunts and uncles and cousins on that side. We also spent a little time with Jon's best friend from high school and his family. We saw Carolyn at BYU. We went to the Nicklecade and saw my friend Emily and from college and met her husband. We also saw some of the desert and Temple Square and the Conference Center.

We had a lot of fun, but I am totally exhausted and in so much pain. Unfortunately, this is going to be our last trip ANYWHERE for a while until 1) Parker is older and 2) my RA is under control. I tried to take it easy and only do maybe 2 things a day, but even that is too much for me. We have been home for a week now, and I am still recovering. Parker is unpacked but I'm still not unpacked. One small step at a time, I guess.

12 month pictures

These are over a month late, but here they are...

It's really hard for me to upload pictures from our camera when Parker's awake, and when he's asleep, I'm either sleeping myself or trying to clean up all the messes he made when he was awake. I usually blog from my phone because it's easier. (Ie Parker doesnt try to take the keyboard and mouse away from me and throw them across the room.)

My future engineer

I served P some cubed deli meat for lunch, and he stacked them up like blocks! This kid is forever trying to put the lids on bottles or containers, stack blocks, or connect the tops of his markers (color wonder markers, of course!) I love my little thinker.

Daddy is too slow!

I asked Jon to put P in the high chair while I was finishing up dinner. Parker saw all the food and knew it was dinner time and was hungry. Apparently Daddy was too slow and he took matters into his own hands!

Please ignore my baby

I got this in the mail today! It was a total surprise and it made me so happy.
Some back story: a week ago, while my baby was screaching his head off in the airport (he does that when he's happy) , I posted on fb that I needed a tshirt that says "sorry, please ignore my baby, he's part velociraptor".
So my friend Mary from CTY sent me this shirt as a total surprise! It was so nice of her. Mary was one of the teenagers who went to the camp while I was a counselor, and it always surprises me when the "kids" do something for me. Granted, Mary is an adult now and in med school, but it still touched me.  Its been a rough week recovering from our trip and this really cheered me up.
